Herbed Spareribs

Ingredients

- 3 lbs beef short ribs or 3 lbs spareribs, cut into pieces
- salt & pepper
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 bay leaf
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
Recipe
- 1 sprinkle ribs with salt& pepper.
- 2 heat oil in saucepan; saute onion until tender; add garlic.
- 3 add remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 min.
- 4 parboil ribs, then place in a shallow pan.
- 5 cover with sauce.
- 6 bake at 375* for 30 min.
