Picadillo

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 celery rib, small dice
  • 1 carrot, small dice
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 potato, small dice
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon adobo seasoning (to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sazon goya seasoning, orange box
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sofrito sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 brown beef and onions until carmelization starts.
  • 2 add all remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • 3 bring to a steady simmer, turn down and let simmer stirring occasionally until vegetables are cooked (about 50 minutes).
  • 4 serve with tortilla chips and enjoy.
