Olive Garden Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, finely chopped
- 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 6 ounces italian sausage, casing removed
- 1 cup red wine
- 18 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon chopped sage
- salt and pepper
- 12 ounces pasta, cooked and drained
Recipe
- 1 heat oil in a large sauce pan.
- 2 add onion, carrot, and celery, saute over medium low heat 5 minutes.
- 3 add beef and sausage, brown over medium heat, breaking up the meat, cook until no longer pink, drain.
- 4 add wine, bring to a boil and cook until reduced by half.
- 5 add tomatoes, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper and simmer 1 hour.
- 6 serve over hot cooked pasta.
