Mom's Meatloaf

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup finely crushed saltine
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

Recipe

  • 1 in a large bowl, beat the eggs.
  • 2 add milk, saltines, onion, salt, sage and pepper.
  • 3 add beef and mix well.
  • 4 shape into an 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch loaf in an ungreased shallow baking pan.
  • 5 combine remaining ingredients; spread 3/4 cup over meatloaf.
  • 6 bake at 350°f for 60-65 minutes or until no pink remains; drain.
  • 7 let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
  • 8 serve with remaining sauce.
  • 9 note: i grease my pan and i also pour all the sauce over the meatloaf while it bakes.
