Microwave Classic Chili

Total Time: 28 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 18 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • salt
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 crumble the beef into a 2 quart microwave-safe bowl.
  • 2 add onion.
  • 3 mix well.
  • 4 cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.
  • 5 drain.
  • 6 stir in the tomatoes, chili powder and mustard.
  • 7 mix well.
  • 8 cover and microwave on high for 10 minutes.
  • 9 add beans and mix well.
  • 10 cover and microwave on high, 3 minutes longer.
  • 11 add salt and pepper.
