Ingredients

- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (28 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
- 1 (5 1/2 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 lb cream-style cottage cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 8 ounces cooked lasagna noodles
- 1 lb sliced mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Recipe
- 1 meat sauce:.
- 2 saute onion and garlic in oil until onion is transparent.
- 3 add meat and brown. add remaining ingredients.
- 4 cover and simmer for 2 hours.
- 5 lasagna:.
- 6 mix cottage cheese, salt, pepper and egg.
- 7 pour a thin layer of sauce into a greased 9x13" dish.
- 8 alternate with layers of half the noodles, half cottage cheese mixture, half mozzeralla cheese and half sauce.
