Marion's Michigan Sauce For Hot Dogs

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 finely chop onions and saute in a little olive oil until tender.
  • 2 add ground beef and cook until browned. separate meat so it is broken into very fine pieces of meat.
  • 3 add rest of ingredients, mix, and cook over low heat on the stove 1 hour or more.
  • 4 this could be cooked in a crockpot on low for six hours.
