Lizzie's Roast Beef

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 4 lbs beef roast (rib roast)
- black pepper, freshly cracked
- kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Recipe
- 1 bring the roast to room temperature.
- 2 preheat the oven to 550 degrees.
- 3 rub the meat down with kosher salt, pepper and garlic powder and place in oven in roasting pan.
- 4 roast for 15 minutes per pound.
- 5 then turn off the oven and do not open the door!
- 6 go play a couple of games of tennis, return 2-4 hours later and remove the roast from the oven for perfectly done beef.
- 7 voila!
