Lizzie's Roast Beef

Total Time: 4 hrs Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 lbs beef roast (rib roast)
  • black pepper, freshly cracked
  • kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Recipe

  • 1 bring the roast to room temperature.
  • 2 preheat the oven to 550 degrees.
  • 3 rub the meat down with kosher salt, pepper and garlic powder and place in oven in roasting pan.
  • 4 roast for 15 minutes per pound.
  • 5 then turn off the oven and do not open the door!
  • 6 go play a couple of games of tennis, return 2-4 hours later and remove the roast from the oven for perfectly done beef.
  • 7 voila!
