Meaty Chili With Mushroom

Ingredients

- 1 lb bulk italian sausage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup onion
- 1 lb mushroom, sliced
- 46 ounces vegetable juice
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 note: for the vegetable juice, i use v8 juice.
- 2 in a dutch oven or soup kettle, cook the sausage, beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink and onion is tender; drain.
- 3 stir in the mushrooms, v8 juice, tomato paste and seasonings. bring to a boil, reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour. garnish with sour cream if desired.
