Pasta E Fagioli

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup carrot, juliened
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can great northern beans, with liquid
  • 1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans, with liquid
  • 1 (32 ounce) can tomato juice
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 lb ditali pasta (cooked)

Recipe

  • 1 saute beef in large pot until beef starts to brown.
  • 2 drain grease and add onions, carrots, tomatoes,garlic, and celery and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • 3 add rest of ingredients and simmer for 1 hour.
  • 4 add pasta and bring back to a simmer for about 5 minutes.
