My Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 lbs roast beef, left over
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 packages bovril powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • to taste mashed potatoes

Recipe

  • 1 grind the roast beef.
  • 2 saute the onion and add bovril, water, and
  • 3 beef.
  • 4 cook for a short time. put in a casserole. top with mashed potatoes and put in 375 f oven for about 30 minutes.
  • 5 brown under broiler.
  • 6 i must admit that i sometimes use a gravy mix instead of the bovril and about 2 cups of gravy as a replacement is wonderful.
