Mom's Lasagna (no Boil & No Ricotta)

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 55 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 26 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 15 ounces cottage cheese
  • 8 ounces kraft shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 9 pieces dry lasagna noodles

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350.
  • 2 cook and drain beef. add spaghetti sauce and, simmer about 10 minutes.
  • 3 mix together cottage cheese, ½ of the mixed shredded cheese, eggs, salt and pepper.
  • 4 pour about a cup of sauce of bottom of a 13x9 inch baking dish. arrange 3 uncooked lasagna noodles lengthwise over sauce and cover with another cup of sauce. spread ½ cheese filling over sauce. repeat with layer of lasagna, sauce and cheese mix. top with layer of lasagna and remaining sauce, sprinkle with mixed cheese.
  • 5 cover with foil. bake 45 minutes. remove foil; bake additional 10 minutes or until hot and bubbly. let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
