Oven-barbecued Short Ribs

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 2 lbs short rib of beef
- oil, for browning the ribs
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons green chili peppers, chopped (fresh or canned)
Recipe
- 1 brown ribs on all sides in oil.
- 2 drain and put into heavy dutch oven or pan.
- 3 combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over the ribs.
- 4 cover and bake in 325-degree oven for 2 hours or until tender.
