Pate De Foie Grrrrr

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces beef kidneys or 6 ounces lamb kidneys or 6 ounces lambs kidneys
  • 1 chicken liver
  • 4 tablespoons oatmeal
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  • 1 cut up the kidney and liver into small pieces, simmer in boiling water for 15 minutes.
  • 2 drain off water leaving just a little and retaining froth.
  • 3 cool and add oatmeal, mash thoroughly.
  • 4 put into blender with egg for about 20 seconds.
  • 5 pour into small casserole dish without lid.
  • 6 bake at 300 for 45 minutes, checking that the top doesn't burn.
  • 7 cut into small pieces and give as treats occasionally.
  • 8 can be frozen.
