Meat Loaf With Cheese Stuffing

Total Time: 1 hr 45 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs ground beef
  • 3 cups fresh bread cubes
  • 1 cup onion, minced
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, minced
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3 tablespoons horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages sharp cheese slices
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes

Recipe

  • 1 combine beef, cubes, onions, green peppers, eggs,horseradish, salt, mustard, milk, and catsup.
  • 2 divide into 3 parts.
  • 3 pat 1 part into loaf pan.
  • 4 cover with 5 overlapping cheese slices.
  • 5 spread with second part of beef.
  • 6 cover with 6 overlapping cheese slices.
  • 7 add remaing beef mixrure.
  • 8 invert loaf onto jelly roll pan or foil covered cookie sheet.
  • 9 bake at 350* for 45 min.
  • 10 crumble 2 slices of cheese over meat loaf, bake for 5 min longer.
  • 11 cool for 15 min before serving.
  • 12 garnish with parsley
  • 13 slice to serve.
