Mum's Bolognese

Total Time: 1 hr 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 750 g minced beef
  • 800 g chopped tomatoes
  • 100 g tomato puree
  • 1 onion
  • 1 red pepper
  • mushroom
  • 1 garlic clove
  • mixed herbs
  • 500 g spaghetti
  • oil

Recipe

  • 1 peel and chop onion.
  • 2 chop pepper.
  • 3 chop mushrooms.
  • 4 crush garlic.
  • 5 shallow fry mince slowly in oil until brown.
  • 6 add mince, onion, pepper, mushrooms and garlic to pot.
  • 7 squeeze in half a tube of tomato puree.
  • 8 add chopped tomatoes, be sure to drain them if they have a lot of juice.

  • 10 bring to the boil and simmer for 1.5 hours.
