Green Chile Burros

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 lbs stew meat
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 2 (4 ounce) cans green chili salsa
- 2 (4 ounce) cans green chilies, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 -2 cup water
Recipe
- 1 brown meat with chopped onions.
- 2 add one can green chile salsa, both cans chopped green chiles, cumin, oregano, and 1 cup water (can add more depending on the consistency you want).
- 3 simmer until meat is tender enough to shred (approx.45-60 mins).
- 4 remove meat from pot, leaving juices in pot and shred meat.
- 5 return to pot and simmer until ready to serve.
- 6 add second can of green chile salsa 15 minutes before serving.
- 7 serve in/with tortillas.
- 8 garnish with shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, sour cream, guacamole, etc.
