Meatloaf

Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 pieces whole wheat bread, finely cubed (i use the bread ends)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2-2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

Recipe

  • 1 beat eggs into milk.
  • 2 stir in the bread crumbs, onion, salt, sage, pepper.
  • 3 add beef and combine well.
  • 4 put mixture into a loaf pan.
  • 5 bake in a 350 degrees oven for one hour and fifteen minutes.
  • 6 drain off excess fat.
  • 7 combine ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard and spoon over meat loaf.
  • 8 bake for ten minutes longer.
