Oven Beef Stew

Total Time: 2 hrs 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 2 hrs 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 lbs lean stewing beef, in 1 inch chunks
  • 1 (10 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 0.5 (2 1/2 ounce) package dry leek soup mix
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 1 onion, coarsely chopped
  • 5 medium baking potatoes, peeled and cut in eights
  • 8 carrots, peeled and halved crosswise
  • 2 cups broccoli florets

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350. in a 5 quart dutch oven, combine beef, undiluted soup, soup mix, wine, and onion. mix well.
  • 2 top with potato pieces and carrots, mixing in slightly. cover and bake for 2 hours.
  • 3 stir in broccoli, cover and bake 15 minutes. remove cover and bake 15 minutes longer.
