Celery Saute

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 slices bacon, diced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 3 cups celery, cut in 1-inch slices
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef gravy
  • 6 slices toast

Recipe

  • 1 place bacon in a skillet and saute until crisp.
  • 2 remove and set aside.
  • 3 saute onion in the bacon fat until golden brown.
  • 4 add celery, tomato sauce, and gravy.
  • 5 cover and simmer until celery is tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  • 6 serve over the toast.
