Hungarian Beef

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs stewing beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons hungarian paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 dash red cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • hot cooked noodles

Recipe

  • 1 brown the beef in a small amount of oil. stir in next 9 ingredients. simmer, covered 2-2 1/2 hours, or until meat is tender. blend in flour and remaining 1/4 cup water and stir into sauce. cook until thickened.
