Hungarian Goulash

Total Time: 1 hr 45 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless beef cubes
  • 1 (2 ounce) envelope lipton onion and mushroom soup mix or 1 (2 ounce) envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 ounces pkge. broad egg noodles (cooked)

Recipe

  • 1 in dutch oven or large saucepan, heat oil and brown beef.
  • 2 add onion mushroom soup mix and paprika blended with tomatoes.
  • 3 simmer covered, stirring occasionally, 1 1/2 hours or until beef is tender.
  • 4 stir in flour and salt blended with water.
  • 5 bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • 6 serve with cooked noodles.
