Meat Pie

Total Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 2 cups chopped onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon natures seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 2 pillsbury pie crusts

Recipe

  • 1 in non stick skillet stir fry onions in just enough water to make tender. add ground turkey and spices. stir fry and cook together. add 1/2 c of water and boullion cube. simmer 10 minutes, drain slightly and save liquid.
  • 2 cook potatoes on the side, mash without milk or butter. if potatoes are too dry, add liquid saved from meat. add to meat mixture and blend well. add bread crumbs.
  • 3 place mixture between 2 pie crusts in 9" pie plate. baste with 1 tbs skim milk. add steam vents to upper crust. cook at 375 degrees x1 hour.
