Cardamom Sauce-kardemommesauce

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 6 large fresh mint leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup port wine
Recipe
- 1 blend the water and the honey with the cardamom and place over medium-low heat. bring to a siimer and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- 2 chop the mint leaves and add with the salt to the mixture. simmer 2 minutes more. remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- 3 when ready to serve, add the port and mix well.
- 4 if the sauce is too thick, add a little more wine and mix again.
- 5 pour into serving bowl and serve with sliced roast beef.
