Meat And Cheese Foldovers

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb ground turkey or 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 6 slices cheese (cheddar or american) or 6 slices soy cheese (cheddar or american)
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated reduced-fat crescent rolls
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

Recipe

  • 1 brown meat and onion; stir in barbecue sauce and set aside.
  • 2 heat oven to 375.
  • 3 unroll crescent dough into four long rectangles on pam-sprayed cookie sheet. overlap long sides; firmly press perforations and edges to seal. pat to form a 15x13-inch rectangle.
  • 4 spread meat mixture lengthwise, in a 4-inch wide strip, down center of dough to within 1 inch of ends. top meat with cheese slices.
  • 5 fold shorter sides of dough 1-inch over filling. bring long sides of dough rectangle over filling, overlapping edges; pinch edge to seal. sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • 6 bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. let stand 5 minutes.
